Hello All,
`pdflatex sample.tex' works with a file like this:
\documentclass{article}
\title{Cartesian closed categories and the price of eggs}
\author{Jane Doe}
\date{September 1994}
\begin{document}
\maketitle
Hello world!
\end{document}
However, `pdfjadetex sample1.tex' gives:
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.4-1.40.13 (MiKTeX 2.9)
entering extended mode
(c:\temp\sample.tex
JadeTeX 2003/04/27: 3.13
! LaTeX Error: Two \documentclass or \documentstyle commands.
See the LaTeX manual or LaTeX Companion for explanation.
Type H <return> for immediate help.
...
l.1 \documentclass{
article}
?
If I enter `run' at the prompt, it goes on to produce
a badly formatted PDF.
The jadetex documentation says that it is a "TeX macro package
for processing the output from Jade/OpenJade in TeX (-t) mode".
Certainly, if I run `openjade -t tex -o jtest.tex jtest.sgm'
the output file jtest.tex is processed correctly by pdfjadetex.
However, jtest.tex looks nothing like sample1.tex above. Instead:
\FOT{3}\Seq%
{\def\fSize%
{12\p@}\def\fWeight%
...
{\def\Element%
{10}}\Par%
{\def\saNom%
{72\p@}\def\saMin%
{72\p@}\def\saMax%
{72\p@}\def\saConditional%
{1}}Sincerely,\endPar{}\endNode{}\Node%
{\def\Element%
{11}}\Par%
{}Jane Doe\endPar{}\endNode{}\endPar{}\endNode{}\endSpS{}\endNode{}\endNode{}\endSeq{}\endFOT{}
Should I be concerned that pdfjadetex processes jtest1.tex
(\FOT{3}\Seq%) correctly, and processes sample1.tex
(\documentclass{article}) badly, while pdflatex processes
sample1.tex correctly, but cannot process jtest.tex at all
(no PDF is produced)?
Regards,
John Brown.
