Update fails: temp file fails verification

Hello, My installation of MikTeX 2.9 broke during an update. I am using a Windows 7 Enterprise. MikTeX Update Wizard (Admin) The operation could not be completed for the following reason: The operation could not be completed because the following file failed verification: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\mik5AC8.tmp It does not matter whether I am a user with a low privilege or the local Administrator. Nor does it matter which repository I use.
