You prefer the former, I assume the latter. No. I didn't have any preference regarding the source or the solution of your problem. But when I see thousands of possible routes I don't start running and explore them one by one in the hope that one of them will lead me to my goal. I try to gather informations which allow me to reduce the number of possibles routes.
