problem installing miktex 2.9

Hi all,

I have a problem installing miktex 2.9 on my win7 professional SP1 64bit:

During installation, right at the beginning before extracting files it says:

problem: C:\latex\MiKTeX 2.9_3\miktex/bin\MiKTeX209-core-PS.dll does not exist
problem: C:\latex\MiKTeX 2.9_3\miktex/bin\MiKTeX209-core.dll does not exist
problem: C:\latex\MiKTeX 2.9_3\miktex/bin\MiKTeX209-packagemanager-PS.dll does not exist
problem: C:\latex\MiKTeX 2.9_3\miktex/bin\MiKTeX209-packagemanager.dll does not exist

I've tried both the latest 32bit-, 64bit-, full- and net-installers! All the same!

I did some Google research and tried all of the following:
- run installation as administrator
- installation to another Folder (C:\latex instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\...)
- installation just for my user account instead of all users
- gave Administrator full access permission to .pdf in HK_CLASSES_ROOT
- deleted Adobe Reader completely

No effect...

What seems to be strange is the 'forward slash (/)' instead of the 'backslash (\)' in 'C:\latex\MiKTeX 2.9_3\miktex/bin\MiKTeX209-core-PS.dll'...!? Could this be a General error in the installer?
