Re: Connectivity error

Recently I downloaded and installed MikTeX 2.9 on Win 7 machine because
earlier MikTeX versions did not like Win  7. As far as I remember, there is an
option to download the whole library of packages, about 2 GB. I did so to
avoid connection problems and delays in the future.

Connection problems might be caused by several reasons:
- temporary bug on a server;
- traffic bottlenecks;
- firewall and anti-virus activity on a local machine;
- somebody in the middle checking the contents.

In such cases I could suggest to find out the direct address of the files
and to use wget to download them. It helped me several times.
