Version of MiKTeX you're installing and, as there's a teeny risk it'll be relevant, version of Windows Which might yield (more) helpful responses... The thread http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.tex.miktex/11996 suggests that there may be a configuration problem with kanjix.map - it sounds like you may also need to have a very up-to-date MiKTeX (though I'm sure Ulrike will pipe up with perfect advice on this *when you post a minimal example*!)
