Re: eps to pdf in MiKTeX 9

Both ghostscript and gimp will convert .eps to .pdf. Both are gnu-ware.

Another approach would be to convert the figure to .jpg, .pdf, or some other more contemporary format, and use pdflatex. Once converted, you don't need to do the conversion over and over every time the document is built.

Here is a simple example:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{graphicx}
\begin{document}
\begin{figure}[ht!]
\includegraphics[keepaspectratio, width=90mm]{figure.eps} \end{figure} \end{document}

The dvi file produced seems fine  when viewed with DVI Preview, but dvi2pdf on it does not work.
Adding command \usepackage{epstopdf} does not help.

Without an example one can only guess: Did you use the correct driver option for graphicx?
