MiKTeX - Fatal format file error; I'm stymied

Hi,

I installed Miktex (version 2.9.4813 Net installer (see  
http://miktex.org/2.9/setup) and then Texworks as editor on my laptop.
I tried to copy/paste some of my scripts but it didn't work.  
Precisely, I get an error message saying:

This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.4-1.40.13 (MiKTeX 2.9 64-bit)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)

Please, could you advise about that?
