I've only seen a few of the postings in this thread; so maybe someone has
already made this clear, but I suspect not: MiKTeX is a system that puts
together a basic working LaTeX installation with a large (not to say huge by
now) number of individual LaTeX packages in a form that can be easily
installed, used and maintained. As such, the maintainer of MiKTeX has
absolutely no control over the correctness of any individual package and
probably has no time to even see how they each work. Every single package
has its own maintainer and this is the person to contact in the case of
suspected bugs.

The MiKTeX list deals principally with the installation and management of
the overall system.

The texhax and comp.text.tex lists, to name just two, take on the task of
providing help on specific TeX/LaTeX questions, including individual package
problems.

Cheers, Phil
