Thanks for the nudge: I'm about to embark on a complete revision of 
Formatting Information, and I am thinking of replacing the bibtex 
recommendation with biblatex, or maybe both: the problem seems to be 
that there are still LOTS of formats which are only available in bibtex 
.bst files.
