Agustin, do you mean that the packages will continue to be updated, only
MiKTeX 2.9 itself will not after this year?  And I believe the question
about v.3.0 is not just what it will offer, but when it will exist.  I do
not know much about these issues, and so I am very interested in answers to
the question.  I am sure I can make TeXLive work but I'm also sure I'd
rather spend my time on other things than that if I can.
