Hi again Angelika:

Well the size of the USB pendirve is in function of the size of the
files and documents you want to storage within. MikTeX portable
updated and with all the packages could tak about 2.5 GB, you have to
take in account also the size of the editors and other software you
use, and also the documents and other files you could storage inside.
In my case I used a pendrive of 8 GB where I have portable Miktex
updated with 3.1 GB, TeXstudio with 148 MB, Arduino with 266 MB,
Sublime Text 2 (a very useful editor you can use with LaTeX, log
files, and many languages and syntax systems) 26.4 MB, Portable Apps
with Evince (a very useful software for view pdf, ps, tex,txt files
and much more) and SumatraPDF (a software like Adobe Acrobat) 354 MB.
This makes a total of 4.1 GB used from 7.7 GB available.

The most of documentation I use is outside the pendrive, I use it just
for work in computers where I haven't installed MikTeX, Arduino and
SublimeText, and in those where I can't because I'm not administrator.
Some years ago I've used portable apps, I think is pretty good, MikTeX
uses the same logic as some LaTeX editors do too.
