Unable to connect to repository --- what can one do?

When trying to install/update any of the class/style packages I get the 
following error:

I had no problem with downloading package about 12 hours ago; but, now I never 
get past this error.
Is there anyway to get to another server and/or is the a workaround to do this 
in a "manual" mode?
