While I personally find it looks very unprofessional to mix forward-slash and back-slash in the same path, this is extremely unlikely to be the problem. Forward-slashes are valid in Windows paths in almost every context, and have been since MS-DOS 2.0 (see http://superuser.com/questions/176388/why-does-windows-use-backslashes-for-paths-and-unix-forward-slashes for quite a good round-up).

What does strike me from your log (once I realised that the asterisks in the path were you highlighting parts of it - don't alter log files!) is that the failures are always with program binaries, not data files. Do you have a virus or anti-malware scanner running and, if so, can you try installing MiKTeX with it turned off?
