Problems with the current update

I just updated all my packages to the latest versions and now my setup is completely broken. When compiling a test project with only the file

in texniccenter I get the following output:

I already looked for answers and could only find a hint to uninstall the package "cslatex", which I don't have installed.

When starting the Miktex Update (Admin) [C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex/bin/internal\miktex-update_admin.exe]

And pushing the button 'Refresh FNDB' in the 'maintanance' section of the 'general' tab. I get no problems. Afterwards pushing the 'Update Formats' button right below I get the following error message:

I have seen in the mailing list that many other people also seem to have problems with the latest update. How come this is even possible to happen? I don't want to offend no developer, but it really puzzles me that not even the simplest document gets compiled after the update. Doesn't anybody test their code before updating it? Or is it really me/my pc setup that prevents the compilation to work??

Anyways I uninstalled miktex and installed it again without updating everything. Then it works but I get other problems.
