Error installing MiKTeX 2.9.5721 source line: 704 message: Permission denied:

Hello,

I have MikTeX 2.8 installed in a 32-bit Windows XP computer and I am 
trying to install MiKTeX 2.9.5721 to get the most up-to-date version of 
the package.
I downloaded the executable from: 
http://mirrors.ctan.org/systems/win32/miktex/setup/basic-miktex-2.9.5721.exe

When executing the installation program, it stops very quickly due to 
an error.
I am copying the .log file text below.
I am installing the code with Administrator privileges. I have checked 
that I have enough free space on disk.
Note that I did NOT uninstalled version 2.8 before installing version 
2.9 (I wanted to keep version 2.8 as backup just in case the 
installation of version 2.9 failed).

Any idea on how to solve this problem?
