(no subject)

Hello,

I just installed miktex on the new computer that my university lab has
provided, soon installed miktex and tried to compile simple tex files.

Both on Winedt and texworks I get error messages: on winedt, I get, at my
best translation guess "The system cannot find the specific file". In
Texwork, I get "Sorry, but "MiKTeX Configuration Utility" did not succeed".

I am wondering whether fixing this will take long, as I am still on time to
get the old computer back.
