You might be correct by saying it is just working for the others because they are using older KOMA versions. At an earlier stage I already tried installing new KOMA versions without success. Maybe actually installing an older version would fix the problem. In any case I think an even simpler solution would be to just give the new command a different name so there wont be any infinite loops. I’ll have a go with that.

\addchap is using internally \chapter. The standard \chapter has one
argument (and two optional argument), you are redefining it to have
6 argument -- and your \chapter command is calling \addchap in some
cases, which then calls \chapter which then calls \addchap ...

Well sorry. But I don't want to debug this. That's a waste of time.
Whatever your definition should do: Do it in some other way.

Then you were very, very lucky. Probably you have an older KOMA
there and at the next update it will break there too.
