Perhaps you really have to wait. There are quite a number of updates
announced on the miktex site (e.g. biblatex 3.2) but I haven't got
them yet.

(I don't have problems to compile, but as you didn't provide a
minimal example I don't know which packages are needed to reproduce
your problem).
