Because Avast open a "notify" window which shows the name of the file
being analysed.
Yesterday was copystart.exe, today is
C:\Users\myaccount\AppData\Local\Temp\miktex-update.temp

Also the miktex-update window is surrounded by a blue border with a
label "Avast DeepScreen".

Today the updater works but announces that all repositories are one day old.

Yesterday and today behaviour is different and my computer has not been
restarted, only "temporally stopped".

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
