This means that in a threaded view (as I'm using) your mail is part of the thread. You can see how this looks e.g. here http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.tex.miktex This is called "hijacking" a thread and you should better not do it. Apart from the wrong threading it also bears the danger that your mail is burried deep in some old thread.
