Sorry, I did not know the term "thread hijacking", nor that at least some people regard this as bad practice. I had not problems nor complaints from anybody about this until this moment. I work on PCs since 1991. I shall avoid replying on e-mails written by other people in the forum [email protected] . I do not see any necessity to change my behaviour in this context in other conversations, because the same behaviour is characteristic for almost all my scientific and non-scientific correspondents.
