Install the latest version

Hello,

I'm thinking about to install new MiKTeX version (my current is 2.9). 
However, the question arises: CTAN contains earlier version than 
MiKTeX.org tells about. Previously I downloaded the latest one from CTAN 
and installed it locally, now the only way is to install basic version 
and the update to the full one?
