That's very kind of you. In fact there are two independant tasks: adaptin= g Omega to OpenType, and completing the font design project. Actually we have designed the Latin part (including IPA) for all styles (roman, italic, bold, bold italic). I can send you big PFB files containi= ng these glyphs but I don't have the time right now to build an OVP file out of them. Do you want these PFB files? The problem is that since these fil= es we still change in the near future, if we start distributing them widely people will end up with $n$ different versions of the same fonts... Cyrillic italics are still missing. >> I realize that using TT fonts with Omega isn't as easy as one might >> wish, but there are apparently ways to get there (perhaps involving >> conversion to other formats?). > >Well, but this means we have to create several *.pfb files from one >large ttf? The new odvips (patched by G=E1bor Bella) reads PFC files, which are obta= ined from TrueType and OpenType fonts. Encodings are not a problem if you stic= k to glyph names as specified by Adobe. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Yannis Haralambous, Ph.D. [email protected] | | Professor Tel. +33 2.29.00.14.27 | | Fax +33 2.29.00.12.82 | | Computer Science Department | | =C9cole Nationale Sup=E9rieure des T=E9l=E9communications de Bretagne = | | Technop=F4le de Brest Iroise, CS 83818, 29238 Brest CEDEX, France | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ ...pour distinguer l'ext=E9rieur d'un aquarium,=20 mieux vaut n'=EAtre pas poisson ...the ball I threw while playing in the park has not yet reached the ground
