On the above page there is in the second half also lots of technical details about how the fonts need to be set up, encodings etc. The problem is that with newer MacOS eg, lotss of fonts have moved into ttc (true type collections) and Ghostscript does not properly support them. There are lots of problems with newer fonts, unfortunately.
