weird - my file was different (obtained via xdelta from previous
versions...):

$ gzip -dc tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz | md5
28c6299b6549a57bdcffadeacfaca088

Uh, okay. May I ask you to publish (whenever you release the new
versions) the md5sums of the TAR files in addition to md5sums of
gzipped TAR files?
