I'll check your diffs later (with tetex_20040322).  first, one more
problem report with xdvi and motilf-1:

AIX 4.3 has motif-1 too and is missing libXp -- and libXmu is missing too!
on AIX 4.3 I used

	x_tool_libs="-lXp -lXm -lXt"

to build a working xdvi-motif.bin.



and one suggestion about key binding for xdvi using a US keyboard:

CTRL-Minus is zoom-out and CTRL-Plus is zoom-in.  

but for CTRL-Plus on a US keyboard I have to press STRL-SHIFT-Plus,
which is a bit nasty...

if you'd bind CTRL-Equal (which is CTRL-"NOSHIFT"-Plus :) to zoom-in too,
that would be very usefull!
