Hi all, I am not sure which program/system that is the cause of my problem, but I'll try here and maybe someone can direct me to a more appropriate list if this email is misplaced. I am using a recent beta of teTeX (20040711) on a Solaris workstation. This has worked just fine, but recently we upgraded ghostscript to AFPL ghostscript 8.14 from 7.03 and this caused a problem with xdvi and included eps-files. I have attached a screenshot of xdvi that shows the problem. The eps-files are generated using Matlab, but the same font problem appear also in e.g. xfig-generated eps-files. If I revert to gs7.03, everything works as expected and the eps-files displays just fine. In gv, the figures display correct using both gs 7.03 and 8.14. Some system data that may be useful (I see now that the same problem appear on my linux system at home (Fedora Core 2)): % xdvi --version xdvik version 22.84.2 (Xaw toolkit) Libraries: kpathsea version 3.5.3, T1lib version 5.0.1 % gs -version AFPL Ghostscript 8.14 (2004-02-20) Copyright (C) 2004 artofcode LLC, Benicia, CA. All rights reserved. % uname -a SunOS [mymachine] 5.9 Generic_117171-02 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100 Solaris Anyone got a clue on the source of this behavior? /Erik --------------------------------------------------------------------- Erik Frisk email: [email protected] Dept. of Electrical Engineering tel: +46 13 285714 Linköping University fax: +46 13 282035 S-581 83 Linköping SWEDEN http://www.fs.isy.liu.se/~frisk/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
