Adding back algorithm.sty, or something like it?

Hi,

algorithm.sty was included in tetex 1.0, but removed afterwards because
it had no license at all. Now it does have a license (LGPL) and could be
included again; on the other hand there's also alg.sty (LPPL), and
others. Since I don't use any personally, I cannot judge which should be
chosen. 

But I think that having such a package in teTeX would be a considerable
improvement, and on behalf of the Debian users I ask for inclusion of
such a style, since I am not aware of a replacement in the current beta.
