I don't get it. How can this work without ; after UP++ ?

So, after adding that ; and the [...] in configure.ac and running
  ./configure; make; make distclean; rm -rf autom4te.cache
I get the following diff (against texinfo-4.5 BTW). Finally, it has
properly detected my curses lib.
