Yes, I got that too, on Compaq Tru64 Unix (OSF1) V5.1

With that line, I get:

svendm@vsl175 > dvipdft a.dvi
dvipdft: running dvipdfm  -e -z0 a.dvi

Multiple dvi filenames?

dvipdfm works by itself, though:

svendm@vsl175 > dvipdfm  -e -z0 a.dvi

a.dvi -> a.pdf
