well...

there's an interesting existential point here, isn't there?  the list,
per se, plainly exists, since we are communicating by use of it.

however, we're not talking about a tetex-pretest, since there hasn't
been any discussion of the march 28 beta, that i recall.

so what are we doing?  merely wittering about the list.
