Thomas,

Can you please confirm to me if the teTeX software is working on a Solaris10
on an Intel x86 platform.

Regards,
Angelyn

Please, when writing a bug report, never re-type screen output "by hand"
- always copy/paste.

If you are really using a teTeX release with
  This is METAFONT, Version 2.7182 (Web2C 7.4.5)
(note: uppercase C, version is 7.4.5 not 7.45), then this must
be something like teTeX-2.0 (released in Feb. 2003).

I can only suggest that you don't follow this route and switch to
teTeX-3.0 (released in Feb. 2005) instead:
  http://tug.org/teTeX/

LaTeX (which is LaTeX2e of course) is included in teTeX-3.0, so
no manual installation of LaTeX2e is needed.
