I guess that
  gsftopk pfrb8r 1440
fails for you.

Please, have a look at the instructions given at gsftopk's web site:
  http://math.berkeley.edu/~vojta/gsftopk.html

You might need to try a different version of ghostscript. If all fails,
please concact Paul Vojta.
