There is a huge difference between _me_ adjusting a configuration, locations in particular, of some system and things quietly changing behind my back. What this has to do with anything? It is clear from this comment that you understood very little from what I wrote. I am perfectly aware for years that teTeX has facilities to adapt a configuration to many circumstances and layouts. What I dislike is when it does such adjustments on its own. Yes, I do try to check results. How do you think I become aware that something is different? It is hard to second-guess, correctly, every time. Michal
