a whole slew of metadata which makes packaging
pretty easy; as demonstrated by Norbert Preining
turning the whole thing into a set of Debian packages.

One hesitates to declare teTeX redundant for those
of us who use Debian, but it is arguably better to
switch to TeXLive.....
