TETEX + BEAMER + PGF

Hi all,

   I'm trying to use beamer in my linux box ( gentoo distribution ).
I've installed tetex 2.0.2-r5 from gentoo package repository. I also
installed beamer and pgf versions 3.00-r1and 0.64-r1, respectively.
I've been in trouble while using beamer with tetex and I'm going to
explain why. I'm using Kile editor and when I try to 'compile' my
beamer tex file I got some errors:

for this command:
    \pgfdeclareimage[height=1.305cm,width=2.295cm]{logo}{arcolive}
the error:
    ./TCC-SLD-LMS.tex:0: File "arcolive" not found when defining image
"logo". But the image arcolivejdccp is in the same .tex directory

and some other errors such as
./TCC-SLD-LMS.tex:298:Cannot determine size of graphic in
imagens/formatopacote.pdf (no BoundingBox). \end{frame}
and
./TCC-SLD-LMS.tex:585:Overfull \hbox (139.0146pt too wide) in paragraph
./TCC-SLD-LMS.tex:585:Overfull \vbox (9.75394pt too high) detected

Well, I think that I got this errors because the old version of pgf or
something similar. Since gentoo provides version 0.64-r1 and the
latest pgf version is 1.xx, I'd like to know if it is possible to
install the latest version of pgf through a specific command line by,
for exemple, downloading the pgf package from CTAN (like perl package
update) and update my installed pgf package provided by gentoo. It is
important to remember that I create this files in MikTex environment
on Windows and WinEdt tex editor, is this the problem? I don't think
so but what do you think. Please, let me know any comment/suggestion
for this, everything will be greatfully accepteble.
