Hello, I'm in the process of upgrading my TeX installation. In that process, I have discovered (so far) the following two problems: 1) If you have the version of "ctangle" distributed from Knuth's web site installed on your computer, the build process will fail. The reason is that Knuth's version only uses the CWEBINPUTS environment variable to search for include files -- not files specified on the command line. Therefore, the following command fails: CWEBINPUTS=./cwebdir /pack/cweb/bin/ctangle ctangle ctang-w2c The fix is, of course, to specify full paths for "ctangle.w" and "ctang-w2c.ch". 2) I was trying to use the T1 library installed on my system, and I noticed that "configure" fails in the following way: checking whether installed T1 lib is >= v 5.0.0 ... ./configure: ]: not found no, will compile my own version Have you ever seen that (i.e., the "]: not found" part)? [If it makes any difference, I'm running Solaris 10 x86.] Best regards, --- Frank Jensen, [email protected] Hugin Expert A/S Gasværksvej 5 9000 Aalborg DENMARK
