building win32 binary from tetex sources?

Hi,

I wonder whether there is an easy way (I gave up the game with
cross-compiling) to produce a win32-binary for pdftex from tetex 
sources? I would like to say something like 'configure;make' to make
pdftex binary from the latest sources, without having to apply further 
patches.

I found a patch set by Siep at http://tex.aanhet.net/mingtex/ to cross-compile 
tex/pdftex etc. using mingw cross compiler, but I wonder whether there
is an easier way to do that...
