Bigger dvips needed (crucially)!

Hi,

I'm using tetex under MacOS X 10.2.8 and have a very specific problem. In
a book I'm writing dvips produces more and more often the error message:

which seems to imply that the problem is the number of font references in
the many virtual fonts I use. Changing the memory variable in config.ps
was no success either.

Could somebody *please* compile a version of dvips for MacOS X with a
bigger string space (at least ten times as much as standard dvips) and
send it to me? I need it quite urgently.
