Find and remove that funny ptmr7t.vf that refers to ptmr0. The version
included in teTeX-3.0 refers to ptmr8r. On my system, I get:

$ kpsewhich ptmr7t.vf
/software/oss/Text/teTeX-3.0/share/texmf-dist/fonts/vf/adobe/times/ptmr7t.vf

$ vftovp ptmr7t | grep FONTNAME
   (FONTNAME ptmr8r)
