Just subscribed to this list and got this paragraph in my opening 
contact:

"teTeX is a full featured TeX distribution for UNIX systems. The latest
official version is 2.0. "

Yet, from tetex's home page at:

http://www.tug.org/tetex/

The link:

ftp://cam.ctan.org/tex-archive/systems/unix/teTeX/current/distrib/

reveals version 3.0.

Which is it?
