Xdvi not showing correct font

Hi,

Am new to teTeX. Installed teTeX on Solaris 9 recently.

When tried to view dvi file using Xdvi, the fonts are illegible.
The dvipdfm worked fine though. The dir teTeX/share/texmf-dist/fonts
has following fonts :

afm       lig       ofm       ovp       source    type1     vf
cmap      map       opentype  pk        tfm       type3
enc       misc      ovf       sfd       truetype  type42


Any pointers will be appreciated.
