Dear All,

I am installing Latex2e on top of teTeX after invoking the command initex
latex.ltx I am prompting of an error indicated below and so installation of
latex23 never suceed.

This is METAFONT version 2.7182 (Web2c 7.45
kpathsea : running mktexfmt mf.base
fmutil: format 'mf' not available
I cant find base file mf.base


I find mf.base and truely enough that file is not available.

Please help.
