P.S. If I recall correctly, when you install MacTeX, it will create within your /Applications folder a subfolder TeX, and TeXShop.app will be within that subfolder. (Of course you may move it elsewhere, e.g., directly into /Applications rather than keeping it wihin /Applications/TeX.
