I had another look and read trough the comment discussion on SE, and
it seems clear the problem must be the printer, and that the easiest
solution (as suggested in a comment there) would be to rotate (and
load the envelope) in the other direction. Then you should be able to
set it correctly.

(Or you could figure out how to change printer settings.)
