Hi Olaf, I am a contributor to texi2html located at texi2html.cvshome.org. Lately I wanted to put some code from texi2html.pl in texi2html.init. As texi2html.pl was copyrighted by the FSF I send them a mail, but they never respond. Then I send that mail to Karl Berry, and he responded that he put the FSF copyright without asking them, and also that he doesn't want to be copyright holder. This means that you are more or less the copyright holder. Karl proposed to put the software in the public domain, given these issues. After that it will still be possible to relicence it under a free software licence, once somebody is ready to be the copyright holder. Thus, would you agree to disclaim copyright interest in texi2html ? I know this is a quite strange request, as you never reclaimed copyright interest, but it seems to be the cleanest and simplest way to go. That way texi2html would be in the public domain. Thanks for your interest. Pat
