Thanks for the quick answer, and I agree with this conclusion.

BTW, a work-around is to do the following:

```
@alias origuref = uref

@macro uref{LINK, DESC}
@origuref{\LINK\, \DESC\}
@end macro
```

This causes a warning

```
warning: redefining Texinfo language command: @uref
```

but otherwise it works just fine with both `makeinfo` and `texi2any
--html`.
