Is that really a reasonable concern to have?

That said, I expect that, if implemented as a set of <a>s separated by
slashes in a single <div>, it'd render just as:

  ...
  Node1 / Node2 / Node3
  ...

... and so, not get in the way much.

For text viewers (incl. Emacs, which can act as a benchmark), rather
than worrying about how w3m or links might render HTML, we ought to
revise the Info format to be reflowable and to be able to provide more
detailed markup.

I wanted to do this at some point, but time escaped me.
