Yes, you're right.

And about the other thing I said, that is restrict the first argument to be an
identifier to be used in a class=""? It is not a strong point, as a texinfo
sequence can be transformed into an identifier, for example following the 
specification for cross refs, but I think it makes sense.

Along with support for utf8 this would be cool, but I believe it requires
a lot of work.
